All In with Bryan Weatherford – Van McGee

On March 18, 2019 Van McGee joined Bryan Weatherford in the studio to film am interview. At that time, Van was in the early days of his battle with cancer. and was being treated with chemotherapy. He was weak, his voice was not strong but he was so into the project that The Dallas Magic club was doing with Bryan that he got out of his bed and came into the studio to share his magic and talk about his journey.

Earlier today, Van lost his battle with the disease and at 7:30 am, he passed away. He was comfortable and in no pain.

In the last week he was surrounded by friends and family. He would hear messages from friends he had touched from around the world. Mentorship and teaching, whether computer science, math, martial arts, or magic, was his passion. He couldn’t just love a thing, he had to show others how to love it.

Van was not only a gifted magician, he was also a walking, talking encyclopedia of the art. He will certainly be missed.
