So much has happened over the past two weeks, so we wanted to give an update!

Many of you were praying for us to get our negative covid test results for travel, and we received them in under an hour!!!

Also, some were praying that we would have no issues at immigration or customs. We could see how God went before us, because the immigration officer simply stamped our passports upon arrival and even gave Hannah a 3 month visitor visa with no questions asked! In the next line over, we could hear several tourists arguing with their agent because she was only giving 1 month visitor visas. Then at customs, while we were in line, one of the machines stopped working and they waived all of our luggage (8 large bags and totes) through, and only asked to check our backpacks!! ***We are so thankful for your prayers and support.***

We spent our first two days in Nairobi. We went to the immigration office, where we were able to get our official photos and fingerprints taken to get our work permits and residents visas. It was a pretty smooth process.

Our new to us Prado (4WD kind of like a Toyota forerunner) was waiting for us at the airport in Mombasa. There were no issues and we are so happy with it! Thank you to everyone who gave toward this vehicle. It felt crazy ordering a vehicle online to be shipped from Japan, but It is going to be a HUGE BLESSING as the rainy season will be starting soon!

We found our apartment in good condition and it felt great to finally be home! We have been catching up with friends and making new ones. We are already going a life group this week and look forward to building new relationships.

Things at the schools have been very busy. We had so many online store orders to deliver before the end of this term. Graduation is next week, so we’ve been taking graduation photos and preparing for that. The students have been taking their final exams.

The ministry is growing and we are seeing God developing leaders. We are especially excited about a project we are working on with Hannah Marshall (visiting now) and Beth Calmes (missionary). We are creating Swahili Women’s Bible studies. Beth has written several over the years, out of necessity while she was in Tanzania, and Hannah is illustrating art work, so we can put them into book form, publish and print them! We’re also going to record them audibly in Swahili, to put on MP3 players and share via bluetooth.

Please continue to pray for us for wisdom, favor and protection. We are excited to see and share with you the many ways God is making the way forward for us and R4C.
